In this session you will learn from a subject matter expert who has over 33 years of experience in the industry his tips and real-life experiences of adding value to the yacht industry as a CPYB by cooperating with other brokers, collaborating, co-brokering, offering courtesy showings, and much more.
At the end of this session, you will be able to:
Gain confidence by learning communication tips to use when co-brokering.
Learn how to approach listings with brokers who have them listed as “not available for co-brokerage.”

In January of 1889, Doug began his professional yacht sales career at The Sailboat Shop in Austin, Texas. This sailboat shop was the beginning of a deep passion. In addition to boat parts, this store also provided services where he learned about sailboat components and how they operate. Upon moving to Houston, he managed a sailboat shop for a few years before joining the team of yacht brokers at Sea Lake Yacht Sales in Kemah, Texas in May 1996. He formed Sea Lake Yachts LLC in April 2012 and operates his own yacht brokerage business out of Kemah, Texas. He currently sits on the YBAA Board of Directors and holds the CPYB designation. It's clear that he enjoys his career and is extremely passionate about boating and helping others achieve their dreams.
