CPYB Annual Meeting Review

We're beyond excited, we just finished up the CAC Annual Meeting, the CPYB program is on an upward trajectory. By the end of 2020, we will have certified approximately 60 new CPYB Brokers, the best year by far.

Under the guidance of Joanna Truitt, Program Director, her team has taken the entire application process from paper and file to completely online.

3 Men Who Illegally Scuttled Abandoned Vessels Plead Guilty

Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office District of Connecticut

John H. Durham, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, today announced that JOHN MAGNESS, 71, of Southbury; PETER ALBRECHT, 70, of Norwalk; and CARLOS SANTOS, 60, of Westbrook, have each pleaded guilty to a federal charge related to the scuttling of several sailboats and motorboats between the Black Rock Harbor and the Pennfield Reef Lighthouse in Long Island Sound.

ABYC mourns passing of E. Charles Game

YBAA join the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) in mourning of the loss of industry veteran Ernest Charles “Charlie” Game II, who passed Nov. 7, 2020. Game began his career working for Alcoa Aluminum and later as director of product reliability and standards for Hatteras Yachts. In 1994, he started E.C. Game Engineering as owner and president.
